The Bean Room
The Bean Room
John Kenneth Bean, born April 1932 in Birmingham, was my father. This room was his study where he spent many hours listening to Jazz and Opera, completing crosswords and playing Solitaire. Ken, as he was known, was a Mason and belonged to many Lodges and lover and collector of red wine and whiskey. Whistlewood was my parent’s retirement home, and this room is named after the Bean Family.
